Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219' Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR), Revision 10 Fire Hazards Analysis Repon (FHA.R), Revision 9 Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.71(e), GPU Nuclear, Inc., is forwarding one signed original and ten copies of the Updated Final Safety Ana:ysis Report, Update 10.
Update 10 reflects changes made to the facility and to procedures described in the UFSAR, safety evaluations supporting the license amendments, and analyses of new safety issues up through December 31,1996.
Each replacement page includes a footer indicating Update 10,04/97, in bold type. Changes to
- page. contents are also printed in bold type. - When a replacement page contains no changes to the
- page content, the new page resulted from repagination. In addition, a list of effective pages has
. been provided which identifies the current revision number for each page of the UFSAR following.

In addition, as pan of the annual SAR update process enclosed is one copy of Revision 9 to the Oyster Creek Fire Hazards Analysis Report.- The FHAR, Revision 9, reflects the methodology used at Oyster Creek to meet 10 CFR 50, Appendix R Revision of the document resulted from
' changes to the facility procedures, and new design information having been incorporated since Revision 8, up through March 20,1997, as annotated by revision bars.

There are five drawings that have been updated. Please replace the existing drawings,3D91101-001, 3D91102-002, 3D91102-006, and 3D91102-011,3D91102-015 with the updated ones provided.
Additionally, new binder cover inserts and spines are included in this update to reflect the new company name and logo. Please discard the older versions.
