As you are aware,10 CFR 170 of the Comission's regulations for license and inspection fees was revised effective June 20, 1984. Section170.12(b) of the revised rule provides that for applications for permits, licenses, facility reference design approvals, and special projects which have been on file with the Comission for review for six months or longer, billings would be made at six-month intervals or when the review is completed, whichever is earlier.
Consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 170.12(b), we have completed the cost analysis for the Vogtle 1 and Vogtle 2 OL application reviews for the period June 24,1984 through December 22, 1984. The costs through that period are $696,752 for Vogtle 1 and $72,062 for Vogtle 2.
The enclosures show a breakdown of the revicu costs by program office.
Based on a reexamination of the costs for the previous billing period by the Office of Huclear Reactor Regulation, contract costs of $5,000 have been added to Vogtle 1.
These costs were omitted from the previous billing data. The revised total for Vogtle 1 for this billing period is
$701,752. The Office of Resource Management has been notified to bill your Company $701.752 for Vogtle 1 and $72,062 for Vogtle 2.
