Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-29/85-16
A routine safety inspection of the radiation protection program at Yankee
Nuclear Power Station was conducted on August 12-16, 1985. Areas inspected
included respiratory protection, shipment of spent resin, ALARA,' posting of
radiation areas, and the procedures revision project.
The inspection report is attached. The inspectors found the allocation of
resources to upgrading the radiation protection procedures and improving the
quality control program to be commendable. No violations were identified
and no reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us is appre-
ciated.
