Andrew E. McNamara TELEPHONE 1 (315) 524-4446 EXT. 301 at Ginna MONTH November, 1985 The reactor power level was maintained at 100% for the majority of the report period.
The exceptions are as follows:
On 11/7/85 the reactor power level was reduced to - 97% for a short period of time to perform periodic test PT-16, Auxiliary Feedwater System.
The power level was restored to 100% after the test was completed.
On 11/25/85 the station experienced a unit trip due to the 1-B Circulating Water Pump tripping.
The ensuing load reduction resulted in booster pumps (2) tripping.
Low feedwater pump suction pressure resulted in steam flow / feed flow mismatch and low "B" S/G level.
Turbine trip followed reactor trip.
The unit was restored to service on 11/26/85 after an outage duration of 23 hours2.662037e-4 days <br />0.00639 hours <br />3.80291e-5 weeks <br />8.7515e-6 months <br />.
The reactor power level remained at 100%
for the balance of the report period.

NOVEMBER, 1985 During the month of November, routine maintenance and inspections were completed.
Major safety related work included:

V-5771, "B" S/G blowdown control valve to heat exchanger -
repair packing gland.
2.
Inspect Pipe supports / anchors on S.A.F.W. Pump Piping 3
System.
3.
Primary / Secondary Snubber inspection.
4.
Replace orifices in'1-A Waste Gas Compressor.
5.
1-A Charging Pump - Replaced Packing, change oil, and oil filtar.
6.
Rebuild and test spara snubbers.
7.
Rebuild spare service water pump bowl assembly.
8.
1-B Service Water Pump - minor PM inspection.

Environmental equipment splice and sleeve upgrade.
10.
Radiation monitoring system annual calibration.
11.
Safety related instrumentation annual calibration.
