Request Discussion COMMENTS:
- 1. The staff should perform a review of the DOE analyses to validate the conclusions drawn. If such an analyt Ms not been performed prior to publication in the Federal Regaster of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, then the staff should instruct interested members of the public as to how copies of these analyses can be obtained.
- 2. If the reduced Pu concertiration in the wtnfled HLW is part of the jushfication for exemption of this form from the double containment requirements, then it should be a part of the regulatory requirements for this form. If not, the staff should so state. j
- 3. The values and impacts section of the Regulatory Analysis should be expanded to explain the basis for the statements that loading and unloading time as well as occu nel exposures will be rsduced as a result of this l action. l n '
