"A routine safety inspection of the radiation protection program during a plant
outage-at the Yankee Nuclear Power Station was conducted on October 28 to
November 1,.1985. Areas inspected included ALARA implementation, radiation
work permits, frisking, control of high radiation exclusion areas, control of
radioactive material, and the evaluation methods for workers uptake of dust.
The inspection' report is attached. Management emphasis.is recommended to
ensure. implementation of certain key elements of the ALARA program to promote.
exposure reductions. . No violations were identified and no reply to this letter
