BYRON 2 CONSTRUCTION PERMIT EXPIRING APRIL 1, 1986.

By telephone conversation on January 30, 1986, I discussed with K.

Dinger of your staff that the Construction Permit for Byron Station, Unit 2, will expire on April 1, 1986.

Since your latest fuel load estimate is October 15, 1986, it appears that you will have to file an application for renewal of the Construction Permit.

In accordance with 10 CFR Section 2.109, this renewal application must be filed at least 30 days prior to the expiration of the existing license. Thus, your renewal application for the Byron 2 Construction Permit must be filed no later than March 2, 1986.
