Required Schedule for Implementation of Hydrogen Control Equipment Enhancements in Perry Nuclear Power Plant (Units 1 and 2)
My letter dated September 20, 1985, acknowledged receipt of your June 25, 1985 letter advising of the NRC staff's acceptance of your schedule for meeting the final rule on. hydrogen control, as. required in 10 CFR 50.44(3)(c)(vii)(A). However, we were not specific as to when 'the staff will-require implementation of equipment enhancements found necessary based on final analysis. To allay any confusion in this regard, the staff requires than any such enhancements be implemented prior to startup following the first refueling outage for Perry Unit 1, as projected in i
the schedule provided with your June 25, 1985 letter.
Implementation of equipment enhancements in Perry Unit 2 will be required prior to licensing.
