Dear Mr. Denton:
Reference (a) transmitted a proposed amendment to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-39 and DPR-48, Appendix A, Sections 3/4.11, 3/4.12, 3/4.16, 3/4.20 and Sections 6.1 through 6.8. These changes addressed the areas of Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS) and Administrative Controls. Reference (b) transmitted additional proposed changes to Section 1.0 (Definitions) and committed to supplying a revision to page 226, which defines Zion's restricted area boundary. This submittal contains the revision to page 226.
Commonwealth Edison Company has formalized its agreements with the U.S. Coast Guard to control the waters off the Zion Station. Thus, the restricted area boundary at Zion Station can now be placed off shore. The proposed revision to page 226 of the Zion Technical Specifications reflects this change and is attached. Please incorporate this page with the proposed I
amendments previously submitted with references (a) and (b). The revision to page 226 has received on and off-site review and approval.
As provided by 10 CFR 50.91, the State of Illinois is being notified of this amendment request by transmittal of a copy of this letter and its attachment.
