Gentlemen:
Thank you for your' letter of December 30, 1985, in response to the deficiencies
-
included in our letter dated November 26, 1985. As a result of our review, we
find that additional information, as discussed with your Mr. J. Lewis (during a
telephone call on January 7,1986), is needed.
Specifically, in your response
to Item 382/8525-03, it was stated that LP&L had developed a policy that
-
'
allowed communications of data, equipment status, and any previously approved
information to the NRC without the approval of the emergency coordinator or
emergency operations director.
It is not evident that certain information,
which may be requested by the NRC, will be provided to the NRC upon request
over the emergency communication network. Your policy requiring prior approval
for some .information is ambiguous and does not appear to exclude the following
information,
i.e., plant status, mitigating actions, onsite and offsite
radiological conditions, and protective action recommendations made to offsite
agencies prior to the arrival of the NRC site team. We understand that the
-emergency plan will be revised to reflect your policy for providing information
requested by the NRC.
Please provide the supplemental information requested within 30 days of the
date of this letter.
