Subject: Combined Inspection Nos. 50-277/85-38 and 50-278/85-37
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Messrs. S. D. Reynolds, Jr.
-and E. H. Gray of this office on October 8 and 21-25, 1985, at the Peach
-Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, Pennsylvania, of activities authorized by
NRC License Nos. OPR-44 and DPR-56 and to the discussions of our findings held
by Mr. Gray and Mr. Reynolds with Mr. R. S. Fleischmann of your staff at the
conclusion of their inspections on October 8 and 25, 1985 respectively. This
inspection also relates to the meeting with the licensee conducted by the Office
of Nuclear Reactor Regulation on October 1, 1985.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspect'an, no violations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
