Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Oyster Creek Telephone System Conversion The purpose of this correspondence is to notify you that beginning Friday, April 11,1997, at 3:00 p.m., Oyster Creek will be converting to a new Meridian phone system.
To place this new system into service an outage of all telephone services currently provided through the existing ROLM system must take place. This outage will affect all normal telephone extensions at the Oyster Creek site. Private lines and emergency lines will only be affected momentarily as the main Bell Telephone distribution cables are moved to the new system. The conversion of our dedicated (DLV) lines was accomplished prior to December,1996. The DLV conversion did not affect any normal communication service and was limited to the emergency circuits between the emergency response facilities.
