WILLIAM J. HINDMAN, JR., being first duly sworn, deposes and says that:

1. My name is William J. Hindman, Jr. I am the Manager - Project Administration at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.

2. Pursuant to the request of the Licensing Board, I have supervised the collection of information regarding the age distribution and gender of Daniel International Corporation employees and first line quality assurance inspectors at the Harris Plant. Information on the gender and age distribution of the Daniel work force (including Davis Electric Company which is Daniel's principal subcontractor) is summarized in Attachment A to this affidavit. The work force is divided into manual employees (those doing " hands on" craft work) and nonmanual employees (support 0512030534 851126 O F2DR ADOCK 0500

personnel who do not do " hands on" craft work). Similar information on persons classified as quality assurance inspectors (excluding QA supervisors) is contained in Attachment B. Those QA inspectors who are CP&L or Daniel / Davis employees are also included in the CP&L employee data provided during the hearing or in Attachment A, respectively.

Attachments A and B reflect the work force as of the week of November 8,1985. -
