Jackson, MI 49201 j

Gentlemen:

Thank you for the submittal of your Quality Assurance Topical Report CPC-2A, Puvi. ion 4.

We have reviewed the changes submitted and find that your revised i

topital report continues to satisfy the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, and is therefore acceptable.

Our review included a detailed assessment of the new " Exception / Interpretation" 2

you included as Item No.14c on page 79 of Revision 4.

It establishes that you do not intend to comply with ANSI N45.2.9-1974, Section 5.6, regarding the temporary storage of documents after their completion and during processing as records, but rather store these records in accordance with the provisions of r

i NFPA 232-1975 for Class 1 records (usually Class C,1-hour cabinets). We find that this is an acceptable alternate for temporary storage.

l We appreciate your timely submittal of the information required by 10CFR50.54(a). PleasecontactMr.FrankHawkinsofmystaff(312-790-5555) with any questions you have regarding this matter.

Sincerely, 1

.v.
