REQUEST FOR EXTENS11E The Joint Intervenors, Wells Eddlemar. Dro se, and the Emergency Planning Joint Intervenors hereby request extensions of 4
time for filing briefs as follows: until January 30 fcr both the appeal brief due January 22 on emercency planning and safety issues, and the supplemental brief cue January 27 or soon thereafter on ocean dumping of low-level radioactive waste. The reasons for this request are the fact that Wells Eddleman has been called for jury duty in Durham County on January 20 and has extensive other work obligations to perform; and John Runkle, counsel for the other intervenors is similarly involved in tiumerous hearings and cases. Further, we have had some difficulty in assembling the information required for the ocean dumping brief.
Counsel for applicants has no objection to either of these extensions. Counsel Charles Barth for the staff has no objection 8601240265"D60122
