McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Technical Specification Amendment for Containment Penetration Leakage Testing
Dear Mr. Denton:
Attached are proposed license amendments to Facility Operating Licenses NPF-9 and NPF-17 for McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2, respectively.
The proposed change would allow the utilization of (NRC approved) exemp-tions to 10 CFR 50, Appendix J relating to type Band C tests.
The change itself is administrative in nature and does not constitute an exemption request.
Attachment I contains the proposed changes to the Technical Specifications; contains a Justification and Safety Analyses in support of the proposed change; Attachment 3 provides a determination that the proposed changes would not involve any significant hazards consideration as defined by 10 CFR 50.92.
This request involves one application for amendment to McGuire's Technical Specifications. Accordingly, pursuant to 10 CFR 170.21, a check for $150.00 is enclosed.
Please review and approve by March 3, 1986 to support the current test cycle. Duke Power presently has a Request for Exemption from 10 CFR 50 Appendix J Requirement pending. A copy of this request is attached (Attachment 4) to this proposal for informational purposes.
