This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Farrell of this office

.during the period December 1-31, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC Operating

. License DPR-34 for Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station, and to the

discussion of our findings with Messers. J. Gahm and R.Craun at the conclusion

of-the inspection.

' Areas examined during the inspection included operational safety verification,

-licensee. action on previously identified inspection items, NUREG-0737

requirements (Three tiile Island Action Items), engineered safety feature

systems, and new fuel inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted

of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews

,with personnel, and. observations by the inspector. These findings are

documented in the enclosed report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.
