m (Wil? E95 Docket No. 50-454 Docket No. 50-455 Docket No. 50-456 Docket No. 50-457 Coninonwealth Edison Company ATTN: Mr. Greg Alexander Nuclear Licensing Administrator Post Office Box 767 Chicago, IL 60690 Gentlemen:

We have received the schedule for operator license examinations at Braidwood submitted with your letter of December 12, 1985. We have reviewed this schedule in conjunction with the requests submitted by other facilities in the region including the other Comonwealth Edison pressurized water nuclear power plants. Arrangements have been completed for administration of the first set of Braidwood examinations, which includes the written examination on March 12,1985, followed by the oral / operating tests during the weeks of April 13 and 20, 1986.

We have also scheduled the second written examination for July 16, 1986, to be administered to personnel from both the Braidwood and Byron Nuclear Stations.

The oral operating tests for the Braidwood personnel will be administered during the weeks of August 4 and August 15, 1986. The personnel at Byron who are applicants for their initial licenses will be administered the written examination on July 16, 1986, and their oral / operating tests during the weeks

, of August 18 and August 25, 1986. As of this date, we have not finalized our test schedule for the Byron personnel who will be requesting amended licenses for operation of Byron Unit 2. We will notify you of our plans for these people in the near future.

As to the third set of examinations for Braidwood personnel, we cannot make a firm consnitment on your proposed schedule at this time since it will fall into the next fiscal year. Because of this, we suggest that you assure yourself that those people vital to the startup and initial operation of Braidwood Unit I be included in the first two groups of candidates.
