This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. J. A. Grobe,
K. _ A. Connaughton, D. E. Miller, C. F. Gill, J. W. McCormick-Barger,
P. L. Hartmann, A. Morrongiello, J. S. Wiebe and Drs. M. J. Oestmann and
R...B. Holtzman of this office and Messrs. M. E. Cashett and B. Thurmond of the
NRC Technical Training Center on November 7 through December 30, 1985, of
'
-activities at Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, authorized by NRC Construction
Permit No. CPPR-148 and to the discussion of our findings with Messrs.
M. D. Lyster, C. M. Shuster, J. J. Waldron and F. R. Stead at the conclusion of
the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violatiu.is of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 2, Section 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy
of this. letter and the enclosed' inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room.
