SUBJECT: SYSTEMATIC ASSESSMENT OF LICENSEE PERFORMANCE (SALP) REPORT
Dear Mr. Dugger:
Thank you for your letter dated February 21,1997, in response to our SALP report dated
January 6,1997. We have reviewed your reply and find it responsive to the issues
identified in the SALP report, particularly in the engineering SALP functional area.
We acknowledge the mischaracterization of your 3-year average radiation exposure.
Enclosed for your information is a revised plant support section of
SALP Report 50 382/96-99. Please replace the appropriate page in our report.with the
enclosed page. The revision was necessary to accurately reflect the performance of
Waterford 3 with respect to the average 3-year exposure for pressurized water reactors.
We regret this error which was made during the preparation of the SALP report. The
correct information was accurately reflected in the SALP board discussion. As a result, the
error did not impact our assessment of performance in the plant support functional area.
