SUBJECT:

SCENARIO FOR THE 1985 GRAND GULF EXERCISE DOCKET NO. 50-416 Thank you for providing the scenario for the Grand Gulf Emergency Preparedness Exercise sched;1ed for December 3, 1985. Our review indicates that your l submittal appears to fulfill the minimum requirements for an onsite full scale  ;

l Review of the onsite response objectives, however, disclosed that the exercise l will address two different types and intensities of offsite releases to meet the '

! that the exercise meets the intent of 10 CFR 50, we request that you provide us l the following additional information, namely: (1) specific . method, procedures, and projected scenario modifications required to meet the subject objectives; (2) '

expected deviation (s) from the simulated plant emergency, based upon its actual i occurrence.

l ,

! We- will be glad to work with you to r.ssure that the exercise meets the NRC criteria.
