The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has (.e:p! Pad its SALP Assessment relating to the performance of your reactor facility and will present its f'.ndings at a meeting on January 23, 1986, at 1:00 p.m. in the Region III <;ffices.
Arrangements for this meetirg were made between P. Barrett of your staff and J. Suermann of Region III on January 2, 1986.
We encourage American Electric Power to have appropriate corporate and plant management representation at the meeting to en;ure a mutual understanding of the issues and findings being presented by NRC.
While this meeting is considered a presentation and discussion forum between American Electric Power and the NRC, the meeting will be opened to any other interested parties as observers.
Those persons outside the licensee and NRC staffs should inform the Regional Office of their. intent to participate.
We hope this meeting will benefit your organization and provide you with a meaningful characterization of the overall safety performance for the D. C. Cook plant.
