SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR OCTOBER 1985 The plant operated at essentially 98 percent power until October 15 when power reduction began due to a valve packing leak in excess of allowed PCS leakage.

The unit was taken off line on October 16 at 1115 hours0.0129 days <br />0.31 hours <br />0.00184 weeks <br />4.242575e-4 months <br /> and the reactor was suberitical 20 minutes later.

The reactor was again critical on October 20 at 0645 hours0.00747 days <br />0.179 hours <br />0.00107 weeks <br />2.454225e-4 months <br />, and the unit was

'back on-line the same day at 1143 hours0.0132 days <br />0.318 hours <br />0.00189 weeks <br />4.349115e-4 months <br />. On October 22 the plant reached approximately 98 percent power and remained at this power level through the end of the reporting period.
