VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT 1 GENERAL DESIGN CRITERIA 17 MODIFICATION STATUS In our letter dated October 21, 1985, Serial No.85-750, we informed you of our intentions to reschedule the completion of our commitment to
' enhance 26 MOV's during the present Unit I refueling outage. Our letter Indicated that the modifications to 11 of the MOV's would not be performed until questions regarding analysis data versus plant performance data could be resolved. However, we now believe that these questions can be resolved during this outage.
Several MOV's.will be tested to resolve the analysis data versus plant performance data questions. For the remaining MOV's in question that are not tested, the torque switch settings recommended by the vendor (Limitorque) for 80% voltage ratings conform with present plant performance data. The testing will begin the week of November 11, 1985, and will take approximately two weeks to complete. Every attempt will be made to complete the requires testing and/or modifications during this refueling outage. We will no0ffy you prior to resuming power operations of any GDC-17 required modification that cannot be completed during this outage.
