Change to PVNGS FSAR Quality Assurance (QA) Description File: 85-056-026; C.1.01.10
Dear Mr. Martin:
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(f), ANPP is submitting a change that affects the QA program for your information.
The change is to FSAR Section 1.8 and the affected FSAR pages are attached.
In discussing compliance with Regulatory Guides 1.38 and 1.123, we clarify our compliance to the personnel qualifications. Personnel performing material inspection shall be qualified to ANSI N45.2.6; personnel performing audits shall be qualified to ANSI N45.2.23; personnel performing monitoring activities shall be qualified to ANSI N45.2.23 or ANSI N45.2.6.
This change will allow the use of either auditing or inspection personnel to perform monitoring activities at vendor's facilities.
In all cases, trained personnel will be used. The change is still within the requirements of 10 CFR Appendix B. A 10CFR50.59 review has been performed for PVNGS Unit 1 concerning this change and it did not identify an unreviewed safety question.
