H. Smith assaH The Nuclear Regulatory Commission Staff has recently become aware of a pp Engelhardt document which contains information potentially relevant to the issue Christenbury of sabotage of spent nuclear fuel.
The document is classi fied as Scinto national security information and is in draf t form.
It is uncertain FF (2) that a final version will ever be published.
The sabotage issue was Re9 Cen: LPDRthe subject of an earlier letter to this Board which transmitted certain Commission reports and a copy of SAND 77-1927 entitled " Transport of Radionuclides in Urban Environs:
Working Draf t Assessment."
A copy of the transmittal memorandum,N unclassified, is attached for the information of the Board and the parties.
A Staff assessment of the significance of this information is being conducted and will be forwarded to the Board and the parties as soon as it becomes available.
