R. A. Hartfield letter to 3. F. Opeka, dated August 7,1985.
Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1 Semi-Annual Effluent Releases The referenced letter requested that Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) re-examine the figures submitted for semi-annual effluent releases for 1982 for Millstone Unit No.1.
Accordingly, attached are revised effluent release figures for 1982,1983 and 1984.
The " Volume of dilution water used during period" has been revised to indicate the total volume of water released during the reporting period, including water discharged during periods of no liquid radwaste release.
The revised water volumes do not thange the doses calculated from liquid releases reported in the years 1982 tF ra 1984 as these doses were calculated using the total water volume.
Please note that the average diluted concentrations provided in lines A, B2 and 2
C2 remain the average diluted concentration during periods of actual release.
We chose to keep these lines the same as this provides additional information (e.g. - How average release concentrations compare against 10CFR20 limits) not otherwise available in these tables. The average diluted concentration over the entire period can be determined by dividing the total curies by the total volume of dilution water.
We trust this resolves your concerns on this matter.
Very truly yours, NORTHEAST NUCLEAR ENERGY COMPANY
