Gentlemen:
This refers to the' inspection conducted by Mr. N. M. Terc of this office and
other accompanying personnel during the period June 17-21, 1985, of activities

authorized by NRC Operating License DPR-34, for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear
Generating Station, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. F. Walker
and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included the implementation of the emer-
!
gency plan and procedures during the annual exercise. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel,-and observations by the inspectors.
These
findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
The enclosed report identifies deficiencies in your emergency preparedness
program observed during the emergency exercise.
It is requested that you
,
provide this office with a schedule for correcting these deficiencies within
30 days after receipt of this-letter.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
The response directed by this letter is not subject to the clearance
procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
