SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL LICENSE NO. I102 TVA hereby requests an amendment to Special Nuclear Material License No. I102. The purpose of the amendment follows:

(a) To revise references to individuals responsible for the radiation safety programs.

(b) To reassign the duties of the Radiation Protection Officer.

These changes are necessary due to the recent reassignment of responsibilities because of the recent retirement ofindividuals (September 30,1996) responsible for the radiation safety programs for the subject license.

Enclosed is a copy of the proposed amendment that is keyed to NRC Form 313. Changes are made in License Condition 11 (License Application Item 7).

Mr. Colvett has a BS degree in physics from Harding University, Searcy, Arkansas, and an M.S. degree in radiological Physics from Columbia University, New York. He worked for twelve years in health physics and biophysics at Brookhaven National Laboratory and Columbia University and for over 19 years in f TVA's Radiological Control Program. His experience includes personnel dosimetry, instrument j calibration and quality assurance. He currently prmides technical direction for ERM&I's personnel dosimetry program and computer data base, prmides technical support for all facility programs and coordinates the facility quality assurance program.
