Dear Mrs Bennington:
This letter constitutes Transnuclear Inc.'s advance notification to the USNRC in compliance with the requirements as outlined in 10 CFR 73.74(a)(1)(2) for an import shipment of natural uranium from Countries that are not party to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material.

Physical description of shipment:
41 Type A model DHTF drums containing: RQ " Radioactive Material, Fissile, N.O.S. 7 UN2918 (U238, U235) enriched Uranium in the form of Uranium Dioxide UO2 pellets ennchment less than 5% U235.
Approximate weight of UO2: 4149.20 kg, U: 3657.20 kg, U235: 157.85 kg.
The above shipment is scheduled to leave CDG airport, France on Il-26-96 via Federal Express ETA Dulles International Airport 11-27-%,
