Thank you for your letter dated July 17, 1985, which included a copy of Detroit Edison's scope and objectives for the Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant Unit 2 emergency preparedness exercise ("FERMEX 85") scheduled for October 2, 1985. This letter confirms the telephone call of July 26, 1985 from Mr. N. R. Williamsen of py staff to Ms. E. Madsen of Detroit Edison that the scope and objectives outlined in your letter are acceptable.

We have also received your letter of August 16 which included the Scenario Event Summary and Scenario Data for FERMEX 85. We will provide our detailed comments on the scenario directly to Ms. E. Madsen of your staff on Monday, September 16, 1985.
