Response to Generic Letter 88-20, Supplement 5, Individual Plant Examination of External Events for Severe Accident Vulnerabilities Ladies and Gentleman:
By lqtter dated November 6, 1995, (Serial Number 2341), Toledo Edison provided its response for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 (DBNPS), to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Generic Letter 88-20, Supplement 5,
" Individual Plant Examination of External Events for Severe Accident vulnerabilities," dated September 8, 1995, (TE Log Number 4614).
Toledo Edison committed to a November 30, 1996 submittal date for the summary report of Individual Plant Examinations of External Events (IPEEE) for DBNPS. This date was chosen to support the DBNPS Tenth Refueling Outage pre-outage and outage activities and provide sufficient time to address the items requested in Generic Letter 88-20.
As discussed with Mr. A. G. Hansen on November 12, 1996, Toledo Edison is revising the submittal date to December 16, 1996, to allow for completion of the final review and approval of the summary report.
