On July 10, 1985, your Commission voted unanimously to grant a full power license to Detroit Edison's Enrico Fermi II Nuclear Power Plant. On July 2, 1985, an operational procedure error was made at the reactor that was not reported to your Chicago Regional Office until the 15th day of July. We question why your representative on site at the Fermi Plant did not report the incident to the NRC Officials who were at the Plant on July 2,1985 reviewing the operation of Fermi II.
Was the information of the July P,1985 incident purposely held back in order for Edison to obtain their full power license, and by doing so, enable them to request a rate increase from the Public Service Commission?
We would like a copy of your report of the July 23, 1985 meeting with Detroit
. Edison.
We further request that the Monroe County Office of Civil Preparedness be placed on the distribution list for all documents pertaining to Fermi II.
