Dear Mr. Petticrew:
This is in response to your August 13, 1985 letter to the Commission in which you questioned the reporting of the July 2,1985 operational error at Ferd2.
This matter is the subject of an investigation by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Until this investigation is completed, it is not appropriate for me to address your concerns regarding reporting of this event. Should you L
desire, my staff will brief you on our findings at that time.
You requested a copy of our report of the July 23, 1985 meeting with Detroit Edison. Documentation of that meeting will be included as part of the resident inspector's routine report for the period ending August 31, 1985. Region III r
will provide you with a copy of that report when it is issued.
In addition, the Monroe County Office of Civil Preparedness has been pl. aced on our standard Fermi 2 distribution list.
