This refers to the Appendix R Team inspection conducted by Mr. P. Qualls of
this office, Mssers A. Singh and S. West of NRR and Mssers K. Parkinson and A.
Coppola of Brookhaven National Laboratory on August 12-16, 1985 of activities
authorized by NRC License No. DPR-54, and to the discussion of our findings
held by the inspection team with Mr. Rodriguez and other members of your staff
at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant's compliance
with the requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix R. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspectors.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified within the
scope of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
