Dear Mr. Raulston:
We completed a successful data gathering trip to the Sequoyah plant during the week of July _28,1935. Much of the success of this effort is due to the cooperation of your plant staff. Our greatest thanks goes to Mr. Vince 'sianco, Office of Engineering, for coordinating the plant visit and assuring trat appropriate personnel were available to answer questions. All of the (VA personnel our contractors met and talked with were very helpful and sf raight-forward in answering our questions. In particular, we would like to tnank Messrs. Glen.$ Carroll and Bob Birchell and Ms. Roberta Galante. All the infor-mation our contractors collected will assist us greatly in our systems analyses.
Lastly, I thank your for your full cooperation. The plant visit would have been impossible without your support. We are looking forward to working informally with your staff as questions regarding the analyses arise. Also, a brief visit may be required in December to confirm certain plant design features and procedures that the analyses show are most important to severe core damage potential.
