Box 88 i Jenkinsville, SC 29065 SUBJECT: NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT 50-395/96-11 NOTICE OF VIOLATION Dear' Mr. Taylor: On October 26, 1996, the NRC completed an inspection at your V. C. Summer reactor fcc.ility. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection. .During the 7 weeks covered by this inspection period, your conduct of activities at the V. C. Summer facility was generally characterized by safety' conscious operations, sound engineering and maintenance practices, and careful radiological work controls. A violation was identified for failure to take corrective actions to prevent repetition of installing underrated solenoid valves. The violation is cited in the enclosed Notice of Violation (Notice), and the circumstances surrounding the violation are described in detail in the enclosed report. Please note that you are required to respond to this letter and'should follow the instructions specified in the enclosed Notice when preparing your response.
