Export of Special Nuclear Material A routine material control and accounting safeguards inspection was trade of the special nuclear material shipment, authorized by your NRC Export License XSNM-02103, during an in-office inspection August 22, 1985 and at the Port of Oakland, Oakland, California, August 23, 1985.
The inspection was conducted by Region V Safeguards Inspectors G. B. Nelson and A. V. Wieder. The inspectors examined the shipment, originating from the General Electric Company, Wilmington, North Carolina for compliance with the requirements of Title 10, Part 70, "Special Nuclear Materials," and Part 71,
" Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Material," Code of Federal Regulations.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's
" Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of their findings of your control and accounting procedures for the safeguarding of special nuclear material are exempt from disclosure.
Therefore, the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the public document room, but the report will be given limited distribution.
