Don, The Commission is in agreement that the comment period for the final rule on " Environmental Review for Renewal of Operating Licenses" should be extended until l

August 5, 1996, with the effective date changed to September 5, 1996.

Please prepare the appropriate Federal Register extension notice for the Secretary's signature. Since the Commission has agreed to an extension and because, as promised, I will E-Mail Michael Mariotte.and advise that the comment period is being extended, I will leave the decision on further specific notice to Mariotte to you.
