Dear Mr. Vassallo:
On July 8,1983, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) received Generic Letter 83-28," Required Actions Based on Generic implications of Salem ATWS Events."
CP&L's response for the Brunswick facility was forwarded to your of fice on November 7, 1983.
In our response to item 3.2.1 (Post-Maintenance Testing, Other Safety-Related Equipment), CP&L described its program for performing post-maintenance testing at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP). CP&L also committed to document a review to verify that testing is performed af ter maintenance activities. CP&L's review has confirmed that the post-maintenance testing program is being implemented.
This correspondence completes the specific follow-up actions committed to in CP&L's Brunswick response to item 3.2.1.
