Environmental Monitoring Wind Speed Transmitter 0103 A t
INPUTS:
Wind speed signal is generated by a light chopper disc driven by the anemometer. As the disc rotates, it interrupts a light transmitted between an LED and a photo-cell to produce a series of electrical pulses. The frequency of these pulses is proportional to wind speed.
As the anemometers RPMs increase the wind speed indication in meters per second increases (m/s4 RPM /42.55)+.1341). The local environmental monitoring computer transmitts the data to the plant computer via RS232 every 10 seconds.
