Previously you commented on a proposed revision to Regulatory Guide 1.82,
" Sump Design and Water Sources for Emergency Core Cooling."
Enclosed for your information is a copy of the memorandum from the Director, Division of Engineering Technology, G. Arlotto, to R. F. Fraley, Executive Director, Advisory Comittee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) along with the proposed Revision 1, Draft 3 to Regulatory Guide 1.82.
Public coments and discussion of public comments are not included because they are an integral part of NUREG-0897 Revision IB which is available for inspection and copying in the NRC Public Document Room.
An open meeting will be held by the ACRS Regulatory Activities Subcommittee, probably in August, to discuss the guide. The meeting will be noticed in the Federal Register.
Specific details of the meeting can be obtained by contacting the ACRS staff at (202) 634-1406.
