SUBJECT: REPORT NO. 50-62/85-01 1

On July 22-26, 1985, NRC inspected activities authorized by NRC Operating License

No. R-66 for your Pool Ructor facility. At the conclusion of the inspection, *

the findi.ngs were discu'sssd with those members of your staf f identified in 1he

enclosed inspection report.

Areas' examined duriEg the inspection are identified in the report. Within these

areas, the ' inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and

representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities

in progress.

The -inspection finding's indicate that certain activities violated NRC require-

ments and other activities appeared to deviate from a commitment to the NRC. The

, violation and deviation, with pertinent references and elements to be included in

.your response, are presented in the enclosed Nottces.

Please note that the enclosed report documents an oral commitment (see

paragraph 4.a) ' made by a licensee representative to the inspector. If your

understanding of this commitment differs f rom the report statements, please

inform this office promptly.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10,

' Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be

.placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.

clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget issued under the

Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
