NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50 325/96 15, 50 324/96 15
Dear Mr. Campbell:
Thank you for your response of December 20, 1996, to our Notice of Violation
,
issued, on November 22, 1996, concerning activities conducted at your
Brunswick facility. We have evaluated your response to the violation and
found that it meet the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. However, based on my
discussion with Mr. Mark Turkal on January 15, 1997, I understand that you
intend to supplement your response to Violation A by further describing the
root cause for the violation; the previous results that were achieved by your
short-term corrective actions associated with quarterly replacement and
-
calibration of the chlorine detectors referenced in LER 19612 dated
October 18, 1996: and your long term corrective actions to resolve the
re)etitive detector failure problems.
The supplemental response will be
su mitted by February 17, 1997. We will examine your supplemental response

and the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.
