PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANTS, UNITS N0. 1 AND N0. 2-WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST REGARDING COOLING WATER SYSTEM TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TAC NOS. M96698 AND M96699)
Dear Mr. Anderson:
By letter dated September 11, 1996, you applied for an amendment to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-42 and DPR-60. The proposed changes would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining to the cooling water system to incorporate experience with the vertical cooling water pump as a
" swing" safeguards pump and the Prairie Island self-assessment Service Water System Operational Performance Inspection (SSW0PI).
Subsequently, by letter dated October 10, 1996, you withdrew the amendment request.
l The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above cited application is being treated as withdrawn.
Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Reaister.
