ENCLOSURE 2 SAFETY EVALUATION WOLF CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-482 DESIGN CHANGE IN THE WOLF CREEK 0FFSITE POWER SYSTEM By Revision 12 to the Wolf Creek site addendum, the 345 kV offsite transmis-sion line between Wolf Creek and West Gardner switching station has been removed from the design and a 345/69 kV transfonner has been added to con-nect the 345 and 69 kV switchyards. Thus, both preferred offsite power sources are routed through the common 345 kV switchyard to the Class IE distribution system versus from separate switchyards.
The proposed design change was discussed with the applicant at a August 31, 1983 meeting.
Based on these discussions and proposed Revision 12 to the Wolf Creek site addendum provided by letter dated November 3,1983, the staff concludes that the proposed design change meets the requirements of GDC 17 and is acceptable.
