Dear Ms. Bell:

This is in response to your letter dated May 8, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), documents regarding how NRC intends to apply the decommissioning rule, when finalized, to power and non-power reactors which are permanently shut down and the effect that the proposed decommissioning rule will have on Pacific Gas and Electric's plans to decommission the Humboldt Bay Nuclear plant.

The document described below has been identified by the staff as being subject to your request.

June 13, 1985, memorandum from Zwolinski to Crutchfield regarding:

" Projected Decommissioning Actions for Power Reactors (June 1, 1985 thru December 31,1985)"

A copy of the requested document is being placed in the NRC Public Document Room for public inspection and copying. The document will be filed in folder F01A-85-359 under your name.
