This confirms that an Outage Inspection Program will be conducted at Fort Calhoun Station.
The dates for each segment of the inspection are as follows and will involve about seven NRC and consultant personnel.
Pre-Outage Review (POR)
August 19-22, 1985 Outage Design Inspection (001)
September 16-27, 1985 Outage Vendor Inspection (0VI)
September 16-27, 1985 In-Depth Outage Inspection (IDOI)
November 4-15, 1985 Pre-Operations Readiness Inspection (PORI)
December 2-13, 1985 At your request, the purpose and an outline of inspection activities were discussed with Messrs B. Reznicek, W. Jones, and you by J. M. Taylor, Director of the Office of Inspection and Enforcement, and others of the IE staff during a visit to the IE headquarters offices on August 9, 1985.
An entrance interview will be conducted on August 19, 1985.
At that time, the methodology of the Outage Inspection Program will be explained.
As discussed, we plan to conduct the various inspections in such a manner as to minimize the impact on the Fort Calhoun outage schedule.
