SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-361/97-01:50-362/97-01
Dear Mr. Ray.
An NRC inspection was conducted January 13-17,1997, at your San Onofre Nuclear
Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 rractor facilities. A followup telephone conversation
,
was conducted on January 23,1997, between Mr. Robert Kaplan of your staff and
Mr. Gilbert Guerra of this office to discuss the location of the control air sampler. The
enclosed report presents the scope and results of that inspection.
This inspection reviewed the radiological environmental and meteorological monitoring
programs. The inspectors concluded that the implementation of activities required by
these programs had been properly conducted.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).

them with you.
