Dear Mr. Hawkins,
Pursuant to 5 U.S.C. l 552, entitled the Freedom of Infomation Act, I am requesting on the behalf of the Powder River Basin Resource Council that you pro-vide me with the following infomation.
(1) All correspondence, memos and other infornation relating to the siting by Chem-Nuclear, Inc. of a low-level radioactive waste disposal site in South Dakota.
(2) All correspondence, memos and other information relating to problems experienced by Chem-Nuclear, Inc. at its Barnwell, South Carolina low-level radioactive waste disposal site.
(3) All correspondeace, memos and other information relating to viola-tions of federal and state law by Chem-Nuclear, Inc. and Waste Management, Inc.
If you decide to withhold any information pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 6552(b), I would like an index of the withheld material.
I am also requesting a waiver of all fees, pursuant to 5 U.S.C. g552(a)(4)(A).
The Powder River Basin Resource Council is a non-profit, public interest organiza-tion. We intend to use the requested information for public education purposes.
We will not use the requested information for financial benefit. We will publish some of the information in our monthly newsletter and will otherwise publicly dis-seminate the information.
I expect your compliance with this FOIA request within ten (10) working days after your receipt of the request.
